Tools that are in good condition can be donated to a thrift store or non-profit organization such as Habitat for Humanity or sold or given away through classified ads online, in local newspapers and magazines and through online communities.

Large metal tools that are no longer usable may be recycled with scrap metal while small handheld tools can be disposal of with regular household garbage.

Clothesline – Canadian Diabetes Association

The Canadian Diabetes offers drop-off and pick-up services for clothing, footwear and other household textiles and cloth-based items.  Pick-up services are also available for small household items such as kitchenware, pots & pans, tools and blenders.

Habitat For Humanity ReStore

Habitat for Humanity ReStores are non-profit building supply stores that accept and resell quality new and used building materials and household items. The ReStore will also pick up donations in the St. John’s/Mount Pearl area. Funds generated are used to support Habitat for Humanity’s building programs.
