Grass

Northern Labrador

Grasscycling is a simple way to recycle your grass clippings.  Simply leave clippings on your lawn!

  • Keep your mower height at 2.5 inches. Never let the grass grow more than three inches tall.
  • Leave the grass clippings where they fall and allow them to compost.
  • For a healthy lawn, only cut one-third of the grass blade at a time.
  • Cut your lawn frequently, about once or twice per week.

Think About It

Grasscycling takes 38% less time than bagging and raking grass.

Grass clippings are about 90% water, so they decompose quickly returning nutrients to your lawn.

Grasscycling does not cause thatch.
