Click on the tabs below for reuse, recycling or safe disposal options.

Construction and demolition waste includes any waste materials associated with construction, renovation and demolition projects.

If still useful, building materials can be donated to a non-profit organization or sold or given away through classified ads online, in local newspapers and magazines and through online communities.

If no longer usable, most waste management sites throughout the province have a designated area for the collection of construction and demolition waste material.

Common construction and demolition waste includes:

  • plywood and lumber
  • plasterboard
  • insulation
  • siding and roofing shingles
  • concrete and masonry waste
  • doors and windows
  • flooring
